After months of speculation here on the Smythe Volvo blog and around the internet, we finally know the fate of the Volvo V60 wagon in America. We're thrilled to say that the vehicle is coming our way and will join our elite class of models in early 2014.
This move is going to make a lot of people very happy, as wagons have long been part of the Volvo tradition stateside. The V60 takes the handling and feeling of a sedan, and but gives us that added bit of utility to store cargo, or carry passengers with a configurable 40/20/40 rear seat split to provide the flexibility you need.
Nobody will deny the vehicle's good looks, either. In fact, the V60 uses two chassis settings; one for the sport-minded folks, and another for those who seek comfort, but no matter which one you choose, you'll experience many thrills behind the wheel.
Currently, the Volvo V60 uses 11 different engine options on its European edition; eight diesel, four gas-powered models, and electric-diesel and ethanol-gas options. In terms of power, it ranges from 115 horsepower on the baseline diesel option to 304 horsepower for the highest petrol model. We don't know which engines will carry over to the U.S. version, but, like all other new Volvo vehicles, you won't feel there's a lack of variety onboard.
Expected to arrive in early 2014, we'll be keeping a close eye on the Volvo V60, so check back with our blog regularly or stop in to Smythe Volvo, located at 326 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ today. We're happy to answer any questions you might have, and provide more details on vehicles that you'd like to learn more about.
