Lately, we've been bringing you a lot of stories about the big changes happening with Volvo, be it new technology, models, or designs. Well today, it's more of the same, as the automaker's Chinese partner discussed adding a flagship sedan to the stellar arsenal of vehicles already available at Smythe Volvo.

Lu Shufu, who is the head of Geely, Volvo's new partner and creator of vehicles in their home base of China, recently told the local press that the automaker was looking in to adding a sedan that would take on other top-class European models, providing the highest levels of luxury, performance, and more. All those are right up Volvo's alley, along with technology and safety features, so creating something that fits the bill is not far-fetched at all.

The hope is this model, which is rumored to be called the S100, and it would sit above the S80, using a stretched out platform of the sedan found in our new Volvo showroom. The vehicle is also slated to be built in China at the automaker's new production plant there, and would be set for a release in China. Right now, there aren't any details on whether the vehicle would get a global release, but we'll let you know if it does.

In the meantime, stop in to our Summit, NJ showroom where you can check out our entire collection of current Volvo models. Our team would be happy to answer any questions you might have, provide additional details, and set up a test drive at your convenience.
